CANTINA DEL CASTELLO

Classification: still white wine.

Grape: 100% Garganega

Production area: Pressoni single vineyard, municipality of Monteforte d’Alpone, at 200/250 meters above sea level, facing East, South/East; Training system: Guyot.

Food matches: recommended as an aperitif with appetizers, excellent with risottos, first courses in general and with any fish-based dish.

Serving temperature: 8-10°C.

Description: Straw yellow color with pale green reflections. Intense aroma with floral notes (chamomile and acacia). Slight presence of ripe citrus fruits. Harmonious and enveloping flavor with a good sapidity and minerality given by the volcanic soil. Long and warm aftertaste that enhances the harmony of its flavor.

We firmly believe that our actions in the vineyard and in the cellar must have the least possible impact on our surrounding environment, for this reason we have decided to join the Biodiversity Friend protocol. We obtained in 2021 the BF certification on our Pressoni vineyard. What does Biodiversity friend mean and what actions are needed to protect the biodiversity? Protecting biodiversity today means commit ourself to the preservation of natural habitats, that translates into being “friends of biodiversity” and acting responsibly for sustainability.
